B&B Sharing Loft
Comfort & design

To create a fully accessible, comfortable, design b&b. Quoting their own words: “It doesn’t have to look like a hospital”

Objective:To create a fully accessible, comfortable, design b&b. Quoting their own words: "It doesn't have to look like a hospital”.

Specifications:Paying attention to uniqueness, it was necessary to create a B&B whose rooms and bathrooms were themed as per the customer's request.

Area:Sirmione (BS), Italy

Characteristics and premises of the project

Sharing Loft is also the home of the two owners of the B&B: Marina and Claudio, the latter disabled due to a motorcycle accident. The rooms therefore had to be not only functional, but also pleasant not only for the guests, but also for the owners of the structure.

The construction of the B&B Sharing Loft took place thanks to the collaboration with an external designer, assisted by the great expertise of Marina, an architect by profession.

The combination of an architect’s taste, Claudio’s point of view and, finally, the skills of Goman and the designer, made it possible to create an elegant accessible loft.

Personalization

When customization is required, our extensive catalog responds perfectly to any need. The designer, Marina and Claudio, have seen on site in the company all the possible elements to be combined with each other in order to create rooms with a completely different design, but equally accessible.

Marina and Claudio also want to travel with their thoughts and push themselves towards worlds that they would have a hard time visiting or styles that they would like to explore. These needs led to the creation of the Tokyo, New York and Steampunk rooms.

Bathroom Design

From an accessible point of view, we have taken great care to provide removable or replaceable elements, such as bars and handles.

We always keep this aspect in mind when projects concern bathrooms for the Hospitality sector. The “accessible bathroom” environment must be flexible and be able to conform to the needs of each guest.

To further facilitate accessibility, the shower tray has not been inserted. Functional sanitary ware for wheelchair users has been taken into consideration, i.e. a washbasin with ample space underneath for a comfortable approach and a toilet further away from the wall in order to make it easier to approach.

Design Elements in Created Bathrooms

Our wide range of finishes has allowed us to fulfill all Marina and Claudio’s wishes, being able to create truly unique environments.

The Tokyo bathroom was characterized by a matte white and chrome finish, the New York full chrome, while the Steampunk one by a particular Total Black design.

In this case, all the bathrooms have been designed with the following characteristics:

  • Handles from the Lex series, particularly suitable for room concepts.
  • In the toilet area, removable bar with replacement plate to remove the bar in case of use of the bathroom of a user that does not require support.
  • Hand shower for bidet function on the toilet.
  • In the shower area, sliding rails of the Lex series in stainless steel, a material chosen for its greater resistance to corrosion.
  • No shower tray to preserve accessibility.
